Lavish Laundry Rooms

While it is most commonly used in kitchens and bathrooms, the current trend in homebuilding and remodels shows that natural stone countertops are becoming standard in laundry rooms.

When putting natural stone in a laundry room there are a few considerations. One of them is the style. Because your laundry room is probably less-trafficked than your kitchen you might have freer rein to install something exotic or create a theme for the room.

It is important to consider the color of the walls, tile or other flooring you would like to install, the washer / dryer, and any cabinets in the space when planning out your laundry room editions.

Because bleach, detergent, and other strong chemicals are likely to be used (and possibly spilled) we recommend sealing your stone and using either granite, quartz, soapstone, or porcelain. Quartz and porcelain do not normally need to be sealed. All four of these materials are stain-resistant because they are less porous.

There are multiple things to consider when redesigning your laundry room, and Granite Division knows this better than anyone! We’ve helped reinvigorate hundreds of laundry rooms, and would love to be a part of your laundry room project!
